CNN commentator Van Jones is forecasting that the inaugural debate between President Joe Biden and former President Donald Trump will carry significant implications. During an interview with CNN host Jim Acosta on Thursday, Acosta inquired about the magnitude of this moment for Biden.

“This is the entire election as far as I’m concerned” Jones responded. “If you are a carbon-based life form, you’re going to be watching. If you’ve got a functioning brain stem, you’re going to be watching.”

He continued:

“If Biden goes out there and messes up, it’s game over. If he walks out there and a week later he’s lower in the polls, it’s panic in the party.”
