(Slay News) – Prosecutors are pressuring the judge to deal the maximum sentence for Ghislaine Maxwell, just as Jeffrey Epstein’s sex trafficking accomplice starts namedropping Bill and Hillary Clinton.

Ahead of next Tuesday’s sentencing hearing, prosecutors are tightening the screws on Maxwell and requesting that the judge gives her 30 to 55 years in prison for her role in Epstein’s sex trafficking ring.

Just days ago, Maxwell filed a motion seeking a light sentence and threw the Clintons under the bus, as Slay News first reported.

Maxwell stated in the court filing she helped “launch and develop” Bill and Hillary’s Clinton Global Initiative.

Federal prosecutors have responded by warning Maxwell that the information is not enough and have asked the judge to sentence her to the maximum allowed.

Unless she can provide prosecutors with information was would secure a deal, 60-year-old Maxwell will be facing decades in prison and most likely never be released.

So far, Maxwell has refused to name names of the high-profile clients who were linked to Epstein.

Maxwell is also claiming that her life is at risk in prison and says she fears she will be killed by other inmates.

She alleges that other inmates are being offered money to kill her.

“The defendant’s claims are inaccurate—and in fact, the defendant has enjoyed remarkable privileges as a high-profile inmate that vastly exceed the benefits accorded to the average inmate,” Assistant U.S. Attorney Maurene Comey wrote in a 53-page sentencing memo.

“It is unsurprising that a woman who had led a life of incredible luxury should complain about her life as a prisoner, but that fact does not come close to meriting leniency at sentencing, much less the extraordinary degree of leniency the defendant seeks.”

“Ghislaine Maxwell sexually exploited young girls for years,” the memo said.

“It is difficult to overstate the magnitude of her crimes and the harm she caused.

“Her crimes demand justice,” the prosecutors continued.

“Moreover, even now, at sentencing, the defendant has shown no acceptance of responsibility, and her submission fails to even mention, much less accept responsibility for, the harm she has caused her victims.

“Instead, her entire submission is an effort to cast herself as a victim: of her father, of Epstein, of the media, of prosecutors, of the Bureau of Prisons.

“Although much of the defendant’s sentencing memorandum aims to cast aspersions on the Government, these claims are baseless.

“This Office did what it always does in any case: it followed the facts and law.

“The investigation uncovered that the defendant committed terrible crimes, and that is what this case is about,” the memo said.

From The Daily Mail:

Maxwell has requested a more lenient sentence of just four years and three months in jail, arguing that she is being scapegoated as a proxy for Epstein’s crimes.

Her legal filings claimed that helping launch the Clinton Global Initiative (CGI) demonstrated she has a ‘desire to do good in the world’.

Defense lawyers said in a sentencing submission last week that she should spend no more than five years in prison.

The filing states: ‘Ms. Maxwell has always worked hard. Her many educational, occupational, and avocational accomplishments include becoming an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), a helicopter pilot, a submersible pilot, a banker; partnering with the Cleveland Clinic to establish a telemedicine platform to enable people in remote areas to obtain quality medical treatment; helping develop the Clinton Global Initiative; and supporting a variety non-profit and charitable organizations’.
