(The Post Millenial) – Over the weekend, former President Barack Obama announced Sunday he tested positive for COVID-19 and reminded Americans to get vaccinated.
“I just tested positive for COVID. I’ve had a scratchy throat for a couple days, but am feeling fine otherwise. Michelle and I are grateful to be vaccinated and boosted, and she has tested negative,” Obama wrote in Sunday’s tweet.

It’s a reminder to get vaccinated if you haven’t already, even as cases go down.

“It’s a reminder to get vaccinated if you haven’t already, even as cases go down,” the former president added in the Sunday afternoon tweet.
Obama was criticized in August for hosting a massive 60th birthday party at the family’s Martha’s Vineyard estate despite COVID-19 concerns and an uptick in positive coronavirus cases. Critics called the occasion a super spreader event for ignoring CDC guidance by hosting hundreds at the multi-million dollar mansion.
A number of Obama’s guests were caught maskless, while dozens of attendees were reportedly COVID-19 positive following the presidential birthday bash. This after Obama slashed the guest list over backlash towards the star-studded party.
