(The Post Millennial) – On Tuesday, the Covington High School student who was attacked by the media for standing at the Lincoln Memorial while wearing a MAGA hat issued a simple statement on Twitter slamming Brian Stelter, who was commenting about how people are being told that corporate media is lying to them.
“GOP’s anti-media streak summarized: Governor of one of the biggest states in the USA says citizens should “assume” news outlets are lying to them,” wrote Stelter.

Nick Sandmann responded with a simple: “Howdy.”
Stelter was referring to a tweet of his from earlier in the day, which spoke about Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and comments he has made about the reliability of corporate media.
“Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, a regular on “corporate media” shows like Maria Bartiromo’s, says ‘we all know corporate media lies, OK? They do not tell the truth. Assume what they tell you is false and then figure out why they’re telling you a false narrative,'” wrote Stelter.
Sandmann came into the headlines in January of 2019, when he attended the annual March for Life event in Washington DC.
Video surfaced of Sandmann and his classmates at the Lincoln Memorial, where they were encountered protestors against former President Donald Trump.
Sandmann and his classmates were called names, with comments saying Sandmann had a “punchable face.”
CNN was ordered to pay Sandmann $275 million after the student won his defamation suit against the outlet.
In July of 2020, Sandmann also won a defamation suit against The Washington Post.
