Democrats, led by Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Dick Durbin (D-IL), have rejected a request from Republican Sen. Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) to subpoena the flight logs of the deceased trafficker Jeffrey Epstein, as announced by Blackburn in a Twitter post.
“@SenatorDurbin BLOCKED my request to subpoena Jeffrey Epstein’s flight logs.
“What are Democrats trying to hide?”

Blackburn later posted an update to X via a video message.

Blackburn criticized Durbin’s actions, calling it a “regrettable day in the history of the esteemed Judiciary Committee.” In a subsequent statement, Blackburn added:
“Senate Democrats have long been trying to undermine the Supreme Court and Justice Clarence Thomas, but want to ignore Justice Sotomayor allegedly using her taxpayer-funded staff to coordinate speaking engagements in exchange for selling and promoting thousands of her books.
“They also don’t want to have a conversation about the estate of Jeffrey Epstein to find out the names of every person who participated in Jeffrey Epstein’s human trafficking ring.”
Senate Judiciary Democrats were unsuccessful in their attempt to issue a subpoena as they did not follow committee rules and violated the Senate Standing Rules.https://t.co/t59GOrGFKH
