(BLP) – Left-wing oligarch George Soros donated $1 million to the gubernatorial campaign of Robert Francis “Beto” O’Rourke. On November 8, 2022, O’Rourke seeks to oust incumbent Republican Governor Greg Abbott.
According to a report by The Blaze, this donation was highlighted in the most recent finance report for the O’Rourke campaign.
Abbott still commands a comfortable lead in the polls against his Democratic rival. So far, O’Rourke has amassed a large number of donations. In the latest financial report, which recorded donation details from February to June, the O’Rourke campaign said it gathered $27.6 million in donations. This figure was $2.7 million higher than what the Abbott campaign recorded.
In sum, Abbott has $45.7 million cash on hand. In O’Rourke’s case, he only has $23.9 million available for spending on the 2022 midterm elections.
O’Rourke gained national attention in the 2018 election cycle, when he lost to incumbent Senator Ted Cruz. He lost by a surprisingly competitive 50.9%- 48.3% margin.
Thus far, Abbott possesses an 8% advantage over O’Rourke according to a recent CBS News YouGov poll, 49% to 41%.
Abbott has a current approval rating of 46% and a 53% disapproval rating.
Soros is one of the most prominent leftist oligarchs in America. He has built notoriety for funding district attorney races in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Philadelphia that have produced soft-on-crime DAs.
As a committed globalist, Soro’s efforts are designed to stem the rise of right-wing populists nationwide. Electing someone like O’Rourke would not only give Democrats a massive electoral win but allow for progressives to continue embedding themselves across governments nationwide.
For the sake of keeping Texas red and one of the most economically robust states in the nation, Soros’ agenda cannot be allowed to win in November.
