(The Post Millennial) – As Vice President Kamala Harris’ approval rating tanks, dropping even below the unpopular commander-in-chief President Joe Biden, late night talk show host Jimmy Kimmel claimed that these low numbers are a result of the racist, sexist population that elected her.

Kimmel pointed out that Biden’s numbers are low, then said “And Biden isn’t alone, Americans really aren’t happy with his vice president, Kamala Harris. Kamala Harris has an approval rating of 28 percent,” he said, “which basically makes no sense because she basically has nothing to do.”

“I mean it’s basically like criticizing a back-up quarterback,” Kimmel said.

“Kamala’s approval rating of 28 percent is even lower than the 30 percent who approved of Dick Cheney in 2008 after he shot a guy in the face,” he continued, adding that “I think these people are forgetting that at least 10 percent of those polled approved of Dick Cheney because he shot a guy in the face.”

Kimmel continued on to joke that beyond the “obvious” reasons for Harris being rated so low being “sexism and racism,” she looked “like an assassin,” joking about “wise guys” and mobsters.

According to a USA Today/Suffolk University Poll taken last week, Harris is now polling around 10 percent lower than President Joe Biden, who is sitting at a 37.8 percent approval rating.

The Hill outlines two potential reasons for why Harris is polling so low.

The first is that “she’s practically invisible,” the outlet wrote. It has been 153 days since she sat down for an interview with a major news broadcaster. That interview was with NBC’s Lester Holt in which he questioned when Harris would travel to the southern border.

Harris responded with “We are going to the border. We’ve been to the border. So this whole thing about the border—we’ve been to the border. We’ve been to the border,” adding that she hasn’t been to Europe either.

The only other interview Harris has appeared on since then is with The View at the end of September.

The second point The Hill stressed for Harris’ low approval rating is that “Harris was never liked much to begin with.”

Leading up to the 2020 presidential election campaign, Harris polled even lower than Andrew Yang in her home state of California. Harris suspended her election campaign before the Democrat primaries began in 2020, “seeming to blame Democratic voters for misogyny and racism,” according to The Hill.

“I have also started to perhaps be more candid talking about what I describe and what I believe to be the elephant in the room about my campaign,” Harris told Axios in October of 2019.

“What is that?”asked Axios reporter Margaret Talev.

“Electability,” Harris responded

“What do you mean?” Talev asked.

“Electability. You know, essentially, is America ready for a woman and a woman of color to be president of the United States?” Harris stated.
