During an interview with CBS “60 Minutes”; Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) said that President Donald Trump is a “deranged, unhinged, dangerous” president of the United States.

Pelosi said, “Well, sadly, the person who’s running the executive branch is a deranged, unhinged, dangerous president of the United States, and only a number of days until we can be protected from him. But he has done something so serious that there should be prosecution against him.”

Pelosi added that invoking the 25th Amendment is still possible and that “Nothing is off the table.” A process for removing the president and installing the vice president to take over.

Conviction in the Republican Senate this close to a new term would seem highly unlikely. But it’s a measure of the Presidents precarious and uncomfortable position that there has been a lack of GOP statements attacking Democrats’ calls for his removal.

Pelosi stated a letter released Saturday that lawmakers have taken an oath of office to defend democracy.

“For that reason, it is absolutely essential that those who perpetrated the assault on our democracy be held accountable. There must be a recognition that this desecration was instigated by the President,” she wrote.

“From what I have heard from Members, and from the deluge that I have received from the public, it is clear that, once again, the Times Have Found Us to save our democracy,” Pelosi finished.

Pelosi seems determined to impeach the President by any means, referring to her “Nothing is off the table” remark. Pelosi said the situation of “this unhinged president could not be more dangerous.” As the term end nears, we will be sure to see Peolsi’s endless prosecution of the President intensify.
