(TStarnes) – Top Democrats are reportedly seeking a replacement for President Biden in 2024, telling them he is not running for re-election.
CNN’s report, titled, “Slow pace of Biden’s re-election campaign feeds Democrats’ 2024 anxiety,” details how the president’s own party is in disarray despite the 80-year-old Democrat already officially entering the race:
The conversations keep happening – quiet whispers on the sidelines of events, texts, emails, furtive phone calls – as top Democrats and donors reach out to those seen as possible replacement presidential candidates.
Get ready, they urge, in conversations that aides to several of the people involved have described to CNN: Despite what he has said, despite the campaign that has been announced, President Joe Biden won’t actually be running for reelection.
They feel like time is already running out and that the lack of the more robust campaign activity they want to see is a sign that his heart isn’t really in it.
According to recent polls, 70 percent of Americans believe Biden shouldn’t run for re-election.
And despite the mainstream media trying to sideline Biden challenger, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., he has higher favorability than the president, according to an Economist/YouGov poll.
Kennedy is gaining support among minorities, women, and young people, all groups that Biden cannot afford to lose.
Many wonder if California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) or former First Lady Michelle Obama would be better picks in a matchup against Trump.
A person with a senior role in the Biden 2020 campaign told CNN that former President Trump could win in 2024 if the Biden team doesn’t ramp up their efforts this summer.
