(BLP) – Rep. Andrew Clyde (R-GA) is passing out AR-15 lapel pins for Congressional representatives to wear on the floor of the U.S. House.

“I hear that this little pin I’ve been giving out on the House floor has been triggering some of my Democrat colleagues,” Clyde said in a video posted to Twitter. “Well, I give it out to remind people of the Second Amendment of the Constitution and how important it is in preserving our liberties.”

The liberals are predictably triggered by Clyde’s behavior:

Right now, Democrats are pushing a national gun control agenda that includes revoking due process rights for individuals arbitrarily deemed a threat – commonly referred to as “red flag laws.” Sadly, even some Republicans are supporting these horrible laws that make a mockery of the 2nd Amendment.

Big League Politics has reported on Republicans going along with the illicit red flag gun control scheme:

“With gun control now heading to President Joe Biden’s desk, millions of Americans could witness for the first time in decades, wholesale reductions in their right to bear arms.

Florida Congressman Matt Gaetz has been one of the most vocal opponents of the recently passed bipartisan gun control “framework.”

Before this abomination of a gun control package was passed, Gaetz warned about some of the unsettling features of this bill. Namely, how this bill is using “federal money to bribe states to enact red flag laws.”

AWR Hawkins of Breitbart News noted that Texas Senator John Cornyn was the point man for Gun Control Inc. and was “working on behalf Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell” to pass gun control in the Senate.

One of the most significant provisions featured in this legislation is a red flag gun confiscation order bribery scheme. This proposal would send “resources to states and tribes to create and administer laws that help ensure deadly weapons are kept out of the hands of individuals whom a court has determined to be a significant danger to themselves or others, consistent with state and federal due process and constitutional protections.”

Gaetz offered his take on the federal gun control scheme. He noted, “In Florida, we have a red flag law, which is not good. We should not have one.” He continued, “I wish we didn’t. … In our state, we had 8,000 utilizations of the red flag law. Under the Senate plan, maybe we would get more money if we used our red flag law more often.”

The red flag law that Gaetz referred to here was the one that former Florida Governor Rick Scott signed into law in 2018.”

Clyde is a hero for pushing the issue of 2nd Amendment rights to his fellow Congressmen. Conservatives must be emboldened to stand for gun rights.
