(BLP) – Big League Politics reported in April that Gmail’s AI filter was automatically labeling conservative emails as spam.
According to an extensive five-month study conducted by researchers at Vanderbilt University, Gmail allowed emails from most left-wing politicians to land in the user’s inbox while more than 75% of messages from conservative candidates were automatically marked as spam.
Now, three months after that bombshell report, Fox News shared that “Google is aiming to quell concerns about its alleged throttling of GOP political emails, but Republicans are not satisfied with the company’s explanations.”
Last month, Sen. John Thune led Republicans with a bill “to exempt political emails from its spam algorithms and implement transparency requirements on email providers.”
“Google responded by proposing a pilot program to the Federal Election Commission that would exempt messages from candidates for federal office from ‘methods of spam detection,’” Fox News highlighted.
Republicans should be concerned about this biased sorting filter within Google’s extremely popular email service, especially ahead of the 2022 midterms.
Consumers want to see a more long-term, transparent fix to Google’s bias problem. So while this new bill might be a positive step, many have been quick to note that Google trying to silence conservatives via their email inboxes is just one of many, many examples of the big tech giants’ liberal agenda.
For example, in 2016, Google was caught red-handed manipulating search results to promote Hillary Clinton and silence her critics. And in 2017, it was revealed that Google had been working with the Obama administration to help shape the Affordable Care Act.
Last year, Project Veritas released undercover footage of a Google executive admitting that the tech giant was working to prevent “the next Trump situation.”
Now, with this AI filtering story, it seems that Google is using its own infrastructure to artificially manipulate the content and messages its users could readily see.
On another note, as Republican National Committee Chairwoman Ronna McDaniel put it: Google of throttling its emails during the final days of each month – a key period of time for fundraising.
“Every single month – for 7 months in a row – Google has systematically attacked the RNC’s email fundraising during important donation days at the end of the month,” McDaniel tweeted last week. “Our emails go from strong inbox delivery (90-100%) down to 0%.”
Big Tech’s bias is out of control.

Of course, this is a dangerous trend that needs to be stopped. Google has proved time and time again that it is an organization with too much power. And is willing to use that power to silence those with whom it disagrees with.
