(TStarnes) – Transgender activists want to cancel Aretha Franklin.

A group called the Trans Cultural Mindfulness Alliance says they got triggered by Franklin’s hit 1968 song, “You Make Me Feel Like a Natural Woman.”

They say the Queen of Soul’s song perpetuates harmful anti-trans stereotypes. The group says there is no such thing as a natural woman.

“Aretha Franklin’s 1968 song ‘Natural Woman’ perpetuates multiple harmful anti-trans stereotypes,” they wrote. “There is no such thing as a ‘natural’ woman. This song has helped inspire acts of harm against transgender women.”

The triggered transgender crowd is calling on Apple Music and Spotify to remove the song from their platforms.

The Norway-based transgender activists say their goal is to make culture more fair for men who think they are women.

Carole King wrote the song specifically for Franklin and it became an overnight sensation. She even performed the song at the Kennedy Center in 2015.

The Queen of Soul passed away in 2018.

Here’s a basic rule of thumb – if you have a five o’clock shadow and hairy legs – you are not a natural woman. Hashtag Lady Bic.
