Republican Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) is calling for the resignation of Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis due to her inappropriate involvement with fellow prosecutor Nathan Wade, who is known for his efforts against former President Donald Trump. Willis has been accused of hiring Wade, her lover, despite his lack of experience, to assist with her politically motivated case against Trump.

Both prosecutors have faced allegations of misusing taxpayer funds to finance their relationship, including extravagant dinners and trips. In a recent court filing, Willis acknowledged her relationship with Wade, whom she appointed to prosecute Trump, but denied any interference in the case. Prior to this filing, Willis had neither confirmed nor denied the affair or its impact on the case. During an interview with Breitbart, Congresswoman Greene strongly criticized the Fulton County DA’s office in light of this scandal.

“Absolutely, she should step down,” Greene said.

“She should be absolutely ashamed of herself.”

“There’s so much evidence coming out,” Greene said.

“I would love to see a criminal investigation.

“That’s what should be happening here, in the state of Georgia, against Fani Willis.

“That’s why I called for Gov. Kemp and Attorney General Chris Carr to launch a criminal investigation.”

Georgia’s Republican Governor, Brian Kemp, declined to initiate a criminal investigation into Willis. However, in January, Kemp advocated for the investigation to proceed through a House committee, which has now been launched by the Georgia State House. Additionally, there are ongoing probes into Willis by the Georgia State Senate and a congressional investigation led by Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan (R-OH).

Greene emphasized that any inquiry into Willis should primarily focus on her involvement with Wade, citing a conflict of interest. According to Greene, Wade engaged in a sexual relationship with Willis in order to secure a contract from Fulton County, which would assist Willis in prosecuting Trump. Trump and his co-defendants assert that Willis derived benefits from the high-profile prosecution.

“You had Nathan Wade having sex with Willis to get a contract with Fulton County and be hired as a prosecutor, so he never registered as a lobbyist,” Greene said.

“He never filed any of that paperwork.

“I filed an ethics violation against him because Willis admitted that they have a relationship that should move the investigation against Nathan Wade to a different level.”

Willis is facing re-election in 2024, which grants county voters the authority to oust her from office amidst accusations of corruption.

According to Greene, Willis may face a similar fate as former Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, who lost her re-election bid in 2022. Expressing her assurance, the congresswoman believes that there are ample patriots in Fulton County who will step forward and bring about a significant change.

“Don’t count them out,” Greene said of Fulton County voters.

“They got fed up with Keisha Lance Bottoms, the former mayor, sick of her, and you want to know why they got sick of her?” Greene asked.

“They got sick and tired of her because she was against the police.

“And she was allowing this is back in 2020.”
