(TStarnes) – The Cambridge Dictionary has gone woke with its new definition change for “man” and “woman.”

The dictionary kowtowed to transgender activists, using “they” pronouns and connecting sex to how a person “identifies.”

A woman, according to the update, is “an adult who lives and identifies as female though they may have been said to have a different sex at birth.”

The first examples given for a “woman” actually point to biological males:

“She was the first trans woman elected to a national office.”
“Mary is a woman who was assigned male at birth.”
A man is defined as “an adult who lives and identifies as male though they may have been said to have a different sex at birth.”

The examples for “man” are similar to the ones given for “woman”:

“Mark is a trans man (= a man who was said to be female when they were born).”
“Their doctor encouraged them to live as a man for a while before undergoing surgical transition.”
Many pointed out the dangerous and harmful effects the new definition could have.

The (legal) consequences of this may reach much further than we think. Anyone can now argue they are a woman just because they feel like it and be backed up by the world’s most popular dictionary,” Eva Vlaardingerbroek tweeted.

“Language should reflect reality, not your twisted ideology,” she added. “Stop the madness.”
