(The Post Millennial) – Dressed as the iconic Batman villain, a Japanese man boarded a Tokyo train and injured seventeen people in a stabbing and fire attack on Sunday, while the streets were full of costumed revelers celebrating Halloween.
The perpetrator, described as a man in his 20s, boarded the train wearing a green shirt, and indigo suit according to witnesses. Footage published by Japanese national broadcaster NHK shows panicked passengers running down train cars as they filmed with flame and smoke. Dozens of firefighters and police officers were seen working outside the station.
“At first I thought it was something like a Halloween event. But I rushed away as a man carrying a long knife came in. I was very fortunate not to be injured,” a man who was on the train told NHK.
