(TStarnes) – There is growing outrage over a trio of radical progressive lawmakers who tried to incite a riot on the floor of the Tennessee House of Representatives .

Rep. Justin Jones (D-Nashville), Rep. Gloria Johnson (D-Knoxville) and Rep. Justin Pearson (D-Memphis) brought a megaphone onto the floor as hundreds of their supporters clashed with law enforcement.

“You had three members of the Democratic caucus trying to increase the intensity of it over the course of the day up until those three members interrupted our session, and walked into the well, pulled out a bull horn and tried to incite a riot into the House chamber,” House Speaker Cameron Sexton (R-Crossville) told radio station WTN.

At one point several members of the Democrat caucus confronted the leftist lawmakers and got into a very heated argument.

Rep. Joe Towns, Jr. (D-Memphis) and Rep. Karen Camper (D-Memphis) took the lawmakers to the proverbial woodshed. They literally marched them off the House floor and into a side chamber for what could best be described as a “Come to Jesus” shout down.

At one point Towns could be seen on the House floor pushing back after the younger lawmakers kept interrupting his remarks. Watch the entire episode below.

Sexton says the rogue lawmakers will be punished for their behavior and could very well be expelled from the House.

“Those members that tried to break up the House today and bring people on the floor to do whatever they wanted them to do – they actually thought we were going to handcuff them and walk them out. Which is what they wanted to do. We handled it. We got through it. But it’s not over,” he warned.
