Chris LaCivita, one of President Donald Trump’s key advisors, has dismissed the recent report suggesting that Trump has approached Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to be his running mate in the 2024 election as “fake news.” The New York Post identified LaCivita as the source of this statement. This statement follows a previous report from the Post, which stated that Trump’s 2024 campaign team had previously contacted Kennedy. According to the report, Trump allegedly asked RFK Jr. if he would consider being his running mate.
However, LaCivita refuted these claims in a post on X, asserting that Trump’s campaign never extended an offer for the vice presidential role to Kennedy.
“This is 100% FAKE NEWS – NO ONE from the Trump Campaign ever approached RFK jr (or ever will) – one of the most LIBERAL and radical environmentalists in the country,” LaCivita wrote.
“For all the fake news- update your stories.”
