Elon Musk, the CEO of Tesla and owner of X/Twitter, has allegedly made a contribution to a pro-Trump Super PAC with the aim of supporting the re-election of former President Donald Trump. Sources who chose to remain anonymous informed Bloomberg that Musk had given a significant sum to America PAC. America PAC is characterized as an organization that primarily operates discreetly to enhance the Trump campaign’s grassroots efforts.

Elon Musk’s reported donation has been revealed amidst his growing criticism of President Biden and his administration’s policies. Musk has also disclosed that former President Trump contacted him unexpectedly in the past. During a CNBC interview in May 2023, Musk claimed that the suppression of the Hunter Biden laptop story amounted to “election interference.” Despite previous disagreements with Trump, Musk criticized Trump’s Truth Social platform as a “rightwing echo chamber” in October 2022, only to reinstate Trump’s account on X, formerly Twitter, a month later.

Musk has expressed his belief that Trump would win a “landslide victory” if he were arrested, following Trump’s conviction in May on 34 counts of falsifying business records related to payments to Stormy Daniels. Musk warned that the verdict set a dangerous precedent for any former president facing criminal charges over minor issues. It was also noted that some of Trump’s proposed policies could impact Tesla.

Trump has condemned Biden’s electric vehicle rule, claiming it would harm Michigan’s economy and pledging to eliminate the EV mandate. After the June 27 presidential debate between Trump and Biden, Musk characterized both candidates as “talking puppets.”
