(BLP) – What exactly is going on with young men in America? Fox News host Tucker Carlson tackled the topic on his show Tuesday upon reflecting on the tragic number of mass shootings that have afflicted the United States throughout recent years. He explained his view that the exceptionally poor state of mental health of these mostly young male mass shooters is explained in part by a society and culture which relentlessly bullies and shames them for their sex.

“The authorities in their lives,” Carlson said, “mostly women, never stopped lecturing them about their so-called privilege. ‘You’re male! You’re privileged!’ Imagine that. Try to imagine an unhappier, unhealthier life than that. So a lot of young men in America are going nuts. Are you surprised?”

Carlson spoke on how police in Highland Park neighborhood did not see the suspect of the community’s recent tragic mass shooting as a major threat.

“He didn’t stand out,” he said, “because there are a lot of young men in America who suddenly look and act a lot like this guy. It’s not an attack, it’s just true.”

The suspect had disturbing online content, face tattoos, and a weed habit, according to reporting by The Post Millennial.

“They had a habit of solitary fantasy worlds, of social media, porn, and video games. They’re high on government-endorsed weed,” Carlson explained.

“They’re numbed by the endless psychotropic drugs that are handed out in every school in the country by crackpots posing as counselors. And of course, they’re angry,” he continued. “They know that their lives will not be better than their parents’.”
Also discussed during the segment is the alarmingly high amount of hardcore pharmaceutical drugs that have been routinely taken by many of America’s most infamous mass shooters.
“A shockingly large number of them have been prescribed psychotropic drugs by their doctors. SSRIs or anti-depressants, and that would include quite a few mass shooters.” Carlson listed shooters in Buffalo, as well as Highland Park, Columbine, Colorado, and many others as relevant examples. “So is there a connection?” Carlson asked. “Well, we don’t know definitively. We do know there are a whole lot more of these drugs being taken by kids than ever before.”

“Between 1991 and 2018, total SSRI prescriptions United States rose by more than 3,000 percent,” Carlson said, before noting that suicide rates jumped 35 percent during the same period of time.

Big League Politics previously reported on the Highland Park July 4th shooting suspect, who was slapped with various charges for murder just earlier this week. Reports thus far have indicated that the suspect killed at least 7 people and caused various more injuries following the shooting.
