During a segment of CNN’s “Inside Politics,” one of the panelists was taken aback by the latest findings from a Wall Street Journal poll. The poll revealed that President Joe Biden held a slight lead over former President Donald Trump, with 43% of voters in seven swing states believing he was the candidate best suited to protect democracy. The results, gathered from March 17-24, were shared by CNN senior political analyst Nia-Malika Henderson, who appeared surprised by the outcome as host Dana Bash presented the data.
“Is it shocking, because it’s only plus one?” Bash asked.
