The inept individual, identified as a leftist, faced public embarrassment when he was captured on camera failing to burn American and Israeli flags in New York City. The failed arson attempt took place at Falafel Crunch, a kosher restaurant in Upper Manhattan, where the flags were displayed outside and seemed to provoke the perpetrator.

The NYPD released footage of the incident on Friday, aiming to identify the suspect and treat the incident as a hate crime. The audacious suspect was recorded on February 24 at approximately 2:50 p.m., trying to set fire to the flags while standing on a table.

Despite his efforts, he struggled to ignite the flags and lost his balance when the table rotated, eventually pulling the flags down and fleeing the scene. Falafel Crunch is situated on Amsterdam Avenue, near Yeshiva University, a Jewish educational institution with a long history of almost a century.
