Vice President Kamala Harris faced criticism for her reaction to a query regarding a possible ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas.
Hamas announced on Monday that it had agreed to a ceasefire plan put forward by Egypt and Qatar. Following the announcement, Harris was leaving a restaurant when journalists inquired about her thoughts on the matter.
“Madam Vice President, Hamas has accepted a Ceasefire…” a reporter began.
Before the reporter could finish, Harris interrupted to simply say, “Shrimp and grits.”
