Seth Meyers, the host of NBC’s late-night show, is expressing concern about the possibility of a Trump victory in November. He believes that President Joe Biden’s failure to fulfill his promise of a ceasefire in Gaza is causing Democrats in crucial swing states to become disenchanted. During an episode of Late Night in February, Meyers pointed out that Biden had made this promise, but there has been no ceasefire yet.

Meyers stated on his show on Wednesday that voters are understandably upset with Biden’s contradictory actions. While claiming to be frustrated with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu’s handling of the war, Biden is simultaneously providing more weapons to support the war, despite the majority of Americans opposing it.

Meyers also mentioned Biden’s promise of a ceasefire, which the president made while enjoying an ice cream cone.

“I remember him saying that because, despite my best efforts, I was standing right fucking there,” Meyer said.

“You’re the president. You can just say, ‘No more funding. No more weapons.’ You can call for a ceasefire—that’s what a majority of Americans want, including the tens of thousands of Democrats who are registering protest votes in key battleground states.”
