Former President Donald Trump demonstrated his commitment to cryptocurrency by utilizing Bitcoin for a recent purchase.

On Wednesday, the Republican presidential candidate treated patrons at PubKey, a bar and restaurant in Manhattan that accepts Bitcoin, to burgers and beers, as reported by the New York Post. At 78 years old, Trump is thought to be the first U.S. president to make a purchase using Bitcoin.

“I just made the first transaction in Bitcoin,” he said as the crowd cheered its approval.

An employee assisted Trump by guiding him through the purchase process using a cellphone and the bar’s tablet.

He confirmed it was “very easy” to do.

One customer exclaimed, “Make Bitcoin great again.”

Pubkey marked the purchase as “one of the most historic transactions in #bitcoin history,” with a post on X, formerly Twitter.
