Sunny Hostin, a co-host of the left-leaning ABC talk show “The View,” has consistently voiced her support for reparations to be provided to the descendants of African American slaves. Nevertheless, in a recent episode of the PBS documentary series “Finding Your Roots,” Hostin discovered that her own ancestors were slave owners.
During the show, host Henry Louis Gates Jr. disclosed to Hostin that one of her ancestors on her mother’s side had probable involvement in the slave trade during colonial Spain.
Her ancestor “owned at least one human being.”

She went on PBS to explore her ancestry.
Turns out, she is the descendant of slave-owners from Spain who owned Africans.

Despite this, Hostin remains steadfast in her refusal to reconsider her stance on the issue. During the latest episode of “The View” on Thursday, she specifically discussed her recent participation on the PBS program.
“I still believe in reparations!” Hostin declared.
