(SNews) – Rep. Clay Higgins (R-LA) physically removed a protester from a press conference after spotting him suspiciously moving toward Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-CO).

The incident happened during a presser Higgins held with Boebert and Rep. Paul Gosar (R-AZ) on Wednesday.

The congressman reached his limit as the man approached the podium.

Higgins, a former Sheriff, said simply, “You’re out” as he dragged the protester away from the other members of Congress.

The man screamed, “Get off me, You’re hurting me. Get off me. You’re hurting me.”

Higgins was not hurting him and refused to take any nonsense from the young protester.

Before the incident took place, the protester Jake Burdett, confronted Gosar causing Higgins to say, “Let this man talk and then I’ll come talk to you privately.”

He told the man to “peacefully stand by with your camera and wait until the end” to ask questions.

But when Lauen Boebert went to the podium, Burdett pushed beyond the barricades and moved toward her when Higgins stepped in.
