Some senior White House staff members are reportedly “struck” by Hunter Biden’s reported attendance at meetings, according to a report. What the hell is happening,” is the common sentiment.

Following President Joe Biden’s return from Camp David on Monday, the younger Biden has been present at some of his father’s meetings with top aides, as per NBC News. The outlet highlighted that these appearances are “uncommon.” According to four sources cited by the outlet, Hunter Biden has also engaged in discussions with senior White House staff members.

As NBC News reports, “One of the people familiar with the matter said Hunter Biden has been closely advising his father since the family gathered over the weekend at Camp David after Thursday’s debate. This person said Hunter Biden has ‘popped into’ a couple of meetings and phone calls the president has had with some of his advisers.”

The report was addressed by the White House, informing NBC News that the president’s son returned with the elder Biden from Camp David and “went with the President straight into speech prep.” The president issued a response on Monday to the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling on presidential immunity.

Hunter Biden was convicted on all charges in June in the gun trial, as previously reported by IJR. While President Biden has not indicated he would step aside in the 2024 presidential election, the topic was discussed during a call between campaign advisers and donors on Sunday, according to NBC News.

The president has attempted to alleviate concerns following his poor debate performance, including on Tuesday when he attributed it to all of his traveling, stating he “came back and nearly fell asleep on stage.” After the debate, Biden’s polling numbers took a hit, with Trump holding 41.8% while Biden was at 40.2%, as of Tuesday, according to FiveThirtyEight’s polling average for the 2024 presidential election.
