(The Post Millennial) – Comedian Seth Rogen faced a wave of ridicule Wednesday after urging residents to normalize crime in big cities such a Los Angeles.
The statement came as a reply to content creator Casey Neistat, who tweeted this his “cars got robbed this morning because Los Angeles is a crime riddled 3rd world shithole of a city but tremendous appreciation and gratitude to the hardworking officers at the @LAPDWestLA who not only arrested the motherfucker but they got all of our stolen goods back.”
I don’t think “my car’s been broken into 15 times” is doing the pro-Los Angeles work Seth seems to think it’s doing here. pic.twitter.com/rHNeH9gc4I

Seth Rogen replied to Neistat saying, “Dude I’ve lived here for over 20 years. You’re nuts haha. It’s lovely here. Don’t leave anything valuable in it. It’s called living in a big city.”
Neistat replied, “I can still be mad though right? Feel so violated.”
Seth Rogan is telling people being robbed is no big deal and they should just "get over it"

Rogen continued, suggesting Neistat not only get used to crime, but open himself up to the possibility of receiving items the criminal may leave behind.
“You can be mad but I guess I don’t personally view my car as an extension of myself and I’ve never really felt violated any of the 15 or so times my car was broken in to. Once a guy accidentally left a cool knife in my car so if it keeps happening you might get a little treat,” Rogen said.

“I didn’t get any treats,” Neistat replied. “He just took the decorations for my daughters 7th birthday party and left bloody hand prints. Serious question; how did you get your car broken into 15 times?”
“I lived in West Hollywood for 20 years and parked on the street,” Rogan replied. “Also it sucks your shit was stolen but LA is not some shithole city. As far as big cities go it has a lot going for it,” he concluded.
Defending the quality of life in your city by referencing the 15 times your car was broken into and the possibility that you may get a free weapon left by a criminal, is not the defense you think it is.
Nobody should accept lawlessness. Not celebrities like @Sethrogen or anyone.

Following the publication of these tweets, Rogen went viral on social media, with many pointing out the absurdity of his perception of crime.
Seth Rogan, who will throw his co-stars and friends under a bus for $$$, lives in a gated community, gets free security, and is pampered for a living. He would never set foot in a section of LA where the peasants would go. https://t.co/pOIoVIOtFJ

In addition to the backlash, Rogen seemingly doubled down and began direct messaging multiple Twitter users with profanities.
