Newly disclosed records from the House Ways & Means Committee have unveiled that Joe Biden utilized email aliases extensively to communicate with his son’s business associates while serving as Vice President under Barack Obama. The metadata, obtained from IRS whistleblowers, reveals that Biden employed alias email accounts 327 times from 2010 to 2019, primarily discussing dubious foreign business deals. These communications involved his son Hunter and key business associate Eric Schwerin.

Notably, 54 emails were exclusively between Biden and Schwerin, described as the “architect of the Biden family’s shell companies.” The email aliases identified were “robinware456,” “JRBware,” and “RobertLPeters.” The committee highlighted that the majority of these exchanges occurred during Biden’s tenure as vice president, with a concentration during his trips to Ukraine.

This information was brought to light after House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer previously revealed Biden’s email aliases earlier this year. The whistleblowers provided the search results to the committee, indicating that accessing email content would require a search warrant.

The committee disclosed that data indicates Joe Biden and Eric Schwerin exchanged five emails in June 2014 before the vice president’s visit to Ukraine that month. Subsequently, between the June and November 2014 trips to Ukraine, they exchanged 27 emails. During this period, Hunter Biden joined the board of the controversial Ukrainian natural gas company Burisma Holdings in April 2014. Biden, as vice president, later pressured the Ukrainian government to dismiss the country’s top prosecutor, Viktor Shokin, who was investigating Burisma for corruption and fraud.

Despite having no experience in the energy sector, Hunter Biden received a substantial monthly salary from Burisma. The vice president threatened to withhold $1 billion in U.S. aid if Shokin was not fired, a move Biden later publicly acknowledged. The State Department’s investigation found no evidence of corruption against Shokin. The Ways & Means Committee Chairman, Jason Smith, noted that the evidence suggests Biden used private email accounts with aliases to communicate with his son and his business partner around the time of international trips. Smith, alongside House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer and House Judiciary Committee Chairman Jim Jordan, is leading an impeachment inquiry against President Biden.

The investigation focuses on foreign money received by the Biden family, President Biden’s involvement in their foreign business dealings, and alleged efforts to hinder the criminal investigation into Hunter Biden. The White House has dismissed the inquiry as baseless, asserting that the president was not involved in his son’s business and never discussed it with him. The Justice Department denies whistleblower allegations, attributing prosecutorial decisions in the Hunter Biden probe to political considerations. Hunter Biden is scheduled to appear for a deposition on December 13, with House Republicans committed to releasing the transcript and organizing a public hearing.
