The campaign donation page of ex-President Donald Trump experienced technical difficulties on Thursday, crashing shortly after the jury delivered a guilty verdict. Following the verdict, the page showed a 500 error message indicating an issue. Trump also saw significant increases in donations from prominent contributors, such as a $300,000 donation from Sequoia Capital partner Shaun Maguire.

Maguire noted on X that the timing is not coincidental. Previously, employees of Sequoia Capital have contributed to the Democratic National Committee, the Republican National Committee, and the anti-Trump organization The Lincoln Project, as reported by Open Secrets.

Trump’s campaign wrote on X that “the American people see through Crooked Joe Biden’s rigged show trial.”

“So many Americans were moved to donate to President Trump’s campaign that the WinRed pages went down,” the campaign said.

NY candidate Lee Zeldin also announced that he just “secured a $800k donation from someone for President Trump’s Joint Fundraising Committee.”

“Never experienced a massive ask that easy,” he wrote.
