Chaos erupted on Saturday night in Times Square as hundreds of individuals expressing sympathy for HANNAT clashed with the NYPD and tourists. The crowd has reportedly stormed a Starbucks and McDonald’s, with security officers resorting to using pepper spray to control the situation. Additional reports indicate mobs gathering in a prosperous shopping district in Columbus Circle and disruptions to concertgoers in other parts of midtown Manhattan. The rioters are seen waving Palestinian flags and voicing calls for the elimination of Israel.
