Former President Donald Trump defied a court-issued gag order and expressed his outrage towards the Manhattan judge presiding over the civil fraud trial, which arises from a $250 million lawsuit initiated against him.
This lawsuit was filed by New York Attorney General Letitia James, who had campaigned on a promise to pursue the former president. The trial is being overseen by Judge Arthur Engoron.
“My daughter, Ivanka, was released from this Fake Letitia James case by the Court of Appeals, but this Trump Hating, Unhinged Judge, who ruled me guilty before this Witch Hunt Trial even started, couldn’t care less about the fact that he was overturned,” Trump raged on his Truth Social platform.
“I also won on Appeal on Statute of Limitations, but he refuses to accept their decision. I truly believe he is CRAZY, but certainly, at a minimum, CRAZED in his hatred of me,” he continued.
“This case should have never started, but now must be dismissed. Financial Statements were LOW, NOT HIGH, had a 100% Disclaimer Clause, Banks were fully paid, ‘on time, on schedule,’ with never even a minor default, there was NO VICTIM, EXCEPT ME,” the former president added.
“Any other Judge in the Country would have thrown this case out on day one. He’s an out of control ‘Nut Job,’ who fined me $10,000 over a ridiculous Gag Order so that the publicity for the day would take over from the fact that Racist James and the Judge’s Star Witness admitted LYING TO CONGRESS on the stand – CASE OVER!” he wrote.
In another post, Trump continued his verbal assault in response to a news report noting that Ivanka has been ordered to testify:
This grossly incompetent “Judge,” who is overturned on Appeal more than almost any Judge in New York State, is a partisan political hack who totally disregards the Court of Appeals decisions against him, and won’t allow a Jury to get anywhere near my “CASE” (brought by a Failed, Trump Hating, Racist Attorney General named Letitia James, whose entire campaign for office was “I WILL GET TRUMP.” She then used this charade to run for Governor, and lost, BADLY!). The New York State legal system has broken down completely, and everybody who is watching this Witch Hunt so agrees.

Ivanka Trump’s legal team filed a motion to quash a subpoena for her testimony in New York last week, but Judge Engoron denied the motion. He also ordered that her testimony should not be scheduled before Wednesday, allowing her to file an appeal.
After an appeals court removed Ivanka Trump as a defendant, her attorney argued that she should not be compelled to appear in court, as reported by CNN.
Judge Engoron specified that Ivanka Trump needed to submit an affidavit affirming that she no longer resides or works in the state. Since only she could provide that information, and it’s now too late to do so, Engoron expressed.
Furthermore, Engoron declined to accept a deposition from Ivanka, taken in Florida after his initial ruling, stating his preference for her to provide live testimony.
Ivanka Trump’s legal team has accused Attorney General Letitia James of seeking her testimony merely for the sake of creating a media spectacle. They argue that the court lacks jurisdiction over Ivanka Trump since she hasn’t lived or worked in the state of New York since 2017.
