The White House has not ruled out the possibility of President Joe Biden potentially granting clemency to Hunter Biden after his recent conviction related to a firearm. Hunter’s sentencing date has not been set yet, as a delay of two to three months between conviction and sentencing is common in the federal system.

“As we all know, the sentencing hasn’t even been scheduled yet,” White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre told reporters.

Hunter could potentially be sentenced to a maximum of 25 years in prison and be required to pay fines amounting to $750,000. In a recent gun-related case, Judge Maryellen Noreika handed down a one-year sentence to a defendant, despite the defense’s request for a six-month sentence. According to a source familiar with the matter, Joe Biden perceives Hunter as a victim of the manipulation of justice, as reported by Politico.
